A collection of a few sample images taken on a Sony HX200V superzoom camera. All the images were taken with ISO 100 on reasonably bright (half overcast) day, with image resolution dialed back to 10 MegaPixels. Have found that higher resolutions give a bigger image, but with more smoothing artifacts.
Sharpness was turned up, and noise reduction turned down to reduce impact of in camera processing, which if left on defaults can be visible when zooming into images.
For a camera that can do close up (at a few cm work) right out to the 30x zoom I think the pictures are impressive, it is difficult to compare without access to the alternative cameras at this price point. If I had one wish, it would be for Sony to add a RAW mode with a firmware update.
